Love is what God is. Love is the divine life.

Love is not primarily a feeling or emotion.(thought it can be accompanied by feelings or emotions) It's willing the good‎ of other as other. When we love we escape the black hole of our own clinging egotism and live for someone else, to love is to leap ecstatically out of the self

Love is patient

Love is kind

If we are good or just to someone else so they can be good or just to us in kind. This is not love but rather indirect egotism. (Robert baron)

Long suffering and kind.

taking the lower place with joy for love bears all things, endures all things, believes all things, unpreoccupied with onseld but looks ahead, hoping against hope. 

Love never fails...

This new years let's measure the giving of our love as the only true measurement as we pray for joy and peace let's pray in laying down our needs with hands open as humble servant ready to give --k
