Jesus was often asked by the elders, by what authority do you do these things?

When starting anything new we will be questioned to see if we know what we are
doing.

Jesus deftly answers by asking a question for the questioner. In Mathew 21 the
elders can not answer his question, and therefore.cannot question his authority.

Comments :

u know I read this again and resignate with the "I can not know" story which
comes to mind so often and maybe even draws me in the book of job.

Thomas aquionos' commentary chapter 38 onward, is extraordinary....like a cake u
want to keep under the glass to look at all the time cause its so beautiful and
u can't even eat more than a sliver at one sitting, its so sweet......

And from out of the whildwine, the lords voice is heard  and says who speaks
without knowledge....do u know.......

And you humble at every word with I can not know........

My question for now and for all time on this earth.....
