william meninger

william meninger from the monastary, his book the loving search for god.. just
now a story from within from st theresa of avila, it stops me and sends me off
to bed.....

She speaks of our loving search for god can be compared to the four ways of
watering a garden that it might bear fruit...

She speaks of the laboriously. Methodical last of carrying water, bucket by
bucket from a well we draw out from

She speaks of the second way of a waterwheel, a devise made simplier to get the
water for the buckets

The third way, even simplier and more plentiful, irrigation
And the fourth way
The easiest way and best of all, it rains. The water comes as a total and
complete gift of god, we simply have to be there, open and willing to receive
the superabundance of this love and grace !!!

Nice to end my day in the dark now and what took place in the light, was
plentiful, and natural and peaceful and helpful and warm and with compassion for
others and love for myself and those around me....
