mary oliver 'excert of a poem'

Never to enter the sea and notice how the water divides
with perfect courtesy, to let you in!
Never to lie down on the grass, as though you were the grass!
Never to leap to the air as you open your wings over the dark acorn of your heart!

No wonder we hear, in your mournful voice, the complaint
that something is missing from your life!

Who can open the door who does not reach for the latch?
Who can travel the miles who does not put one foot
in front of the other, all attentive to what presents itself
continually?
Who will behold the inner chamber who has not observed
with admiration, even with rapture, the outer stone?

Well, there is time left --
fields everywhere invite you into them.

And who will care, who will chide you if you wander away
from wherever you are, to look for your soul?

Quickly, then, get up, put on your coat, leave your desk!

To put one's foot into the door of the grass, which is
the mystery, which is death as well as life, and
not be afraid!
When u are drinking u can not speak
When u are thinking u can not listen
When u are talking u can not hear

"Conference of the birds"

I know our king
But can I alone
Endure the journey
To his distant throne

Join me and when at last we end out quest
Our king will greet you as his honored guest
How long will you persist in blasphemy?
Escape your self hoods vicious tyranny

Who ever can evade the self transcends
Set free your soul; impatient of delay
Step out along our sovereigns royal way

Love.....

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
John 7:38

Prayer
Father, the “living water” that lives in us is Your Holy Spirit.  We are thankful that Your Spirit flows within us to teach us, encourage us, comfort us and lead us in prayer.  When we have times that we feel “dry” in our spirit, remind us that
the well within us is deep and we only need to ask You to fill us.
Amen

Today In silence I think deeply of someone I love who cares for our house and family-

Who lives with us, year after year
Taking weekends off- dedicating her life
To our family
To sending home money
Sleeps alone, no friends, No husband
No security, and I cry into grateful for her
And how my every interaction with her should
Be to help and understand and support
Sometimes, shamefully I think I don't always
Se her whole picture financialy

The passage;

If you will simpy, freely, give
The lord ur soul and then step back
Detached from all things
Free and alone before him
You will be the happiest person upon the earth

If you enter into this fellowship then forget every care and every thought put off yourself so that the love of God may live within your soul

The more the believer puts off his self life, the more he makes room for innter solitude with god

I believe as god is love there for me love in putting aside the ego and opening to another person unconditionally and vunerability and sexually - becomes the narrow gate to step into the flowing space of inner.....

It's the trinity of heaven on earth. Grounded in me and god I touch it in love and gods trinity with my brother, my neighbor, my friend, my lover, my soul -mate.

Amen

I see all  as perfect
Do u  want to be seen  all
Do u see yourself as perfect?
Does serenity rules dictate a robotic type being
Hidden from life's deepest nurture
Unconditionally loved and held in the bosom
Of Mary's love, who one might  rebuke
Or Chris t's mercy
Whose path is for god to discover for u
And touch u with ‎
And when he does present such light and beauty
Walk not away from the wedding feast for
Love will burn the eternal flame
Whose oil regenerate from the sun
And I imagine this is something I don't know of yet
And what if it already happened or it never did...

I feel it's not my place to teach or lecture
For the imprint finds the softness of one own wax
As they unfold knowing themselves and their life's purpose thru the fires of their own purifications

Grateful I am to be blessed to come upon a retreat center that focuses on the love of st Francis and saint Clare or cynthia bourgeauelt, a connection I share with her in so many ways thru my spiritual teacher, thru the benedictine monastary and to hear her speak of the love of one of the monks and her leading me to gurddijeff or ouspensku the fourth way or even jg Bennetts little book sex, and most profoiundly the course in miracles teaching there is nothing and no one to point to or teach it is all illusion within my self and my NEED to teach to heal or give is but my work on release.

Of a lifetime of words, I will not proof or edit...

Morning unfolds in grace
As I find emotion in the sunrise
The changing of night to morning
My heart sings the songs of praise within me
Connects with emotion as words can not grasp
Feelings imprinted in the oneness of this timeless time...

Surrender, empty so to receive and  balance so to accept-
Is the curriculum  to have experiences with christ or to be Christ's teachings in ever moment
 - each day-
 - deeper in forgiveness- deeper in love- and then to release it all every morning in the sunrise to begin again
A life but a sift of the moments - flowing- washing thru thy neighbor with the light of love
Amen- may this be but the blessing I reach for but the purpose I speak of but the journey I am yet to walk and somehow I can see, when I look over my shoulder a eternity of footprints...¥

Grateful
Grateful
Grateful
For eyes of awareness
How sweet to see
How  must compassion open for me
To see all aspects of. Survival

Peace - - pray for all my brothers
This day for me is to share love
Grateful for all the love you bring to me
May I be yo abundant servant

For forty‎ days he fashioned us from dust
Then placed the soul within us, as a trust

He manifests within the least - as whole
That we a  fragment of his perfect soul
His throne upon the sea earth floats o n air
But he is all and everywhere

blessings of this day

I am so moved today at mass
I come empty with nothing
And I leave in tears at the words snare and firmament
So they be so unusual on my dictonary that I hear them three times in just a few hours.... books, ramdomly opened to a sentence with them boith, a sermon, a audio lesson is it these words and a sharing to listen for God speaking thru words,

Or is it that I am so emersed  in the spiritual that is all I have is spiritual and chances to be in pride and draw such conclusions.

As I eat the body and blood of christ also what speaks from me, are the verses of scripture I soakin in this weekend. "Unless you eat"'. I am the way, the truth and the light.‎

‎Started farin atta's book conference of the birds and the first 2 pages of the introduction caused me to drop in astonishment

I was introduced to this book 2007 and did not pick up on the author a sufi mystic when I was seeking all Christian and christ. Today- what a gift. I think It could take years to read this one. I love the collection of life I am paving in my collections in THE gifts coming to me, they are so beautiful.

Beautiful so also are the affections I am being showered down by life and people around it. I pray to be open to all experiences those both old and new. May thy will lead me to serve your greatest glory thy cup I will drink..

Amen

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.”
 Proverbs 3:5

So much of my recent retrete has been about surrender- trust- so many times my heart has quivered with opening--- is the quiver the tension of wanting what I want and opening to surrender to what I am brought-

I am the bread of this world. Ur fathera ate thr manna in the desert and they hav died-

Oh christ who is in me always- let me surrender to ur will -

Story; when I arrived at the retreat I realized I forgot food and I said it be ur will that I fast for 2 days to be in total prayer and devotion. The gate was locked and I pressed th button and the woman who answered was at a safeway- one hour away and asked if I needed anything...... I hung up the phone and walked into the glass and thought even the bird of the air are fed- let me be led- for you are in me and have alwa taken care of me- now I take care of who u give me without thought to me

Amen

a miracle

What is a miracle? Course in miracles

A miracle is a correction
It does not create nor really change at all. It merely
Looks on devastation and reminds the mind that what it sees is false, it undoes error, but does not attempt to go beyond perception, nor exceed the function of foegiveness. Thus it stays within times limits. Yet it paves the way for the return of timelessness and loves awakening
For fear must slip away under the gentle remedy it brings.

A miracle contains the gift of grace, for it is given and received as one. And thus it illustrates the law of truth the world does not obey, because it falls entirely to understand its ways. A miracle inverts perception which was upside down before and thul it ends the strange distortions that were manifest. Now is perception open to the truth. Now is forgiveness seen as justified.

Forgivenes is the home of miracles the eyes of christ deliver them to all they look upon in mercy and in love. Perception stands corrected in his sight, and what was mean to curse has come to bless. Each Lilly of forgiveness offers all the world the silent miracle of love. And each is laid before the word of God upon the universal altar to creator and creation in the light of perfect purity and endless joy.

The miracle is taken first on faith, becausew to ask for it implies the mind has been made ready to conceive of what it cannot see and does not understand. Yet faith will bring witness to show that what it rested on is really  ‎there. And thus the miracle will justify your faith in it, and show it rested on a world more real than what you saw before,
And a world redeemed from what you thought was there.

Miracles fall like drops of healing rain from heaven
On a dry dustry world where starved and thirsty creatures come to die now they have water, now the world is green, and everywhere the signs of life spring up
To show that what is born can never die
For what has life has immortality.

“Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
 Ephesians 5:2

Prayer
Savior, those of us who are parents know that if our child had cancer we would gladly trade places with them so that they could live.  In essence, this is what you did on the Cross; You traded places with us so that we could live.  How should we respond to this kind of love, O God?  We respond by healin healin wounds of the world u have given me through love-  thru loving which I w w a receive I u-

And the song on repeat, a song of praise- it plays itself and in my silence I pop in and out with a note

My eyes closed, my head cracks my neck as it circles
As it releasing space., somewhere., opening, loose allows love to flow- I tremble or shiver and feel god wrapping me in the wind and I cry I cry love- I temble love I release love

And while we are in deep silence
Today I smile in deep love as I pray only
For my neighbor
Deeply
Intensily
For their prayer to be lifted up

How beautiful a release

And I pray for the souls I love
Who feel troubled this evening
And the message is
Live my child, be loved
And soon the answers will unfold
Love will bring meaning

In silence now
I am still, hours, pass I am still, and then I realize I am the grass as I lay in the son on the greenest cushion

And u have nothing to say- words can come out cause I'm excited to be in companionship but
Nothing need come out-

It's love I smile with
And no words need to be said

Chitty-chat here and there- energy
Feleing- touch- it's all here in the wind
Bye words I say
And now breathe- should it breathe only
Beloved slowly,. Making sounds thur the nose like
It knows....

On this bench I visited this area
First time hearing dreams of a son yearning for his spot

On this bench I watched fallen leaves from the tree and gathered it's leaves to spread across my thanksgiving table

On this bench now I silence to not knowing what is next and in that release I breathe and
Surrender....
On this bench, in my orange and white dress- I sit still saying "lord Jesus christ, have mercy. For the next 30 minutes....

On this bench...

rumi

It is he who suffers his absensce in me
Who through me cries out to himself
Loves most strange
Most holy mystery-
We are intimate beyond belief
"All of life is a song of rememberance
Of which our heart
Soul
Body
Make up just a small note of love
There is a love
With the beloved
A surrender
That's the mystery
The living reality in the heart
Is all you need to know
And when its revieled
U won't ask these questions
You l be in the trinity of love-
Union with the physical and the unphysical
There are many ways to reach this state
Prayer of silence- loving eachother and god in other-
Is path-  union of love in god in woman ‎in self
Trinity outer life, inner life, all personalities within  u, all beings one-being held- being seen- being nutured- it's serenity without the pennance of sacrifice- it's mercy- it's grace and it has me on my knees waiting-

Amen

In the ultimate sense there is nothing to be done except to learn how to enjoy life. That may sound really simple. It’s also totally ordinary too, because there is nothing spiritual about it. It’s not about lofty spiritual attainments but to enjoy life does not mean becoming decadent either. Enjoying life is accompanied by having a spirit of celebration and joy in all of the myriad manifestations of life. With that attitude our life becomes graceful and the radiance of that inner peace flows freely. That gnawing thought, “It’s hard to be human,” finally leaves us alone. When we really know how to enjoy our life then all of our searching comes to an end. Until then we search for happiness, enlightenment, the end of suffering. We search for this and that and the list keeps growing. This endless searching is the cause of pain and agony in each of us, but it is very subtle to the extent that we may not even be conscious of it. As long as this search continues in our mind, there is this subtle sense of pain, conceptual pain, and we don’t know how to really enjoy life completely in each and every moment.

philokalia and vahnan-lee lead me today to the jesus prayer. the way of the pilgrim I read years ago

Using the Jesus Prayer

By Fr. Dn. Charles Joiner
“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner”
This prayer has the potential to transform your consciousness and bring you closer to God. It is a prayer rooted deeply in the tradition of the Church. It is a prayer to be repeated over and over, many times. You can begin to develop the use of this prayer by incorporating a number of repetitions in your daily prayer rule. It is a simple prayer and you can learn to say it everywhere and at any time. In fact, your aim should be to make it an unending prayer. In this way your whole life becomes a life of prayer.
Recognize, however, that this prayer is incredibly difficult to practice even though it seems to be very simple. In its practice, you continually recite it so that it permeates your heart and focuses your mind, predisposing you to follow God’s will instead of your own ego-directed will.
Start by repeating it for ten minutes in the morning or evening. Begin by saying it out loud or at least by moving your lips. Eventually you will repeat it mentally, but start with a verbal prayer. Add more repetitions, slowly building up the time you are able to concentrate on the prayer. When your mind wanders, bring it back to the prayer. Concentrate, but do not be harsh on yourself. This is not something you will master with your self-will. Ask God to help you conquer the restlessness of your mind. With persistence, humility and patience, the practice of this prayer will prepare you for God’s grace to work actively within you.
Along with saying this prayer as part of your prayer rule, try to say it whenever you can. You can do this while walking, while waiting in the doctor’s office, in line at the post office, or while waiting to board a plane. You can say it when doing dishes or yard work. You can say it when you are stressed, afraid, or nervous. When you become angry, repeat this prayer over and over until your anger subsides. Do this whenever your mind is agitated, and you will find that it will calm your mind. When you do say it, be sure to think of God and His endless love and seek His mercy.
The practice of the Jesus Prayer is different than Far-Eastern Buddhist, Hindu or Sufi practice. In Buddhism, a common practice is to constantly repeat a mantra such as “Om mani padme hum.” The aim of Buddhism is to free oneself from all suffering and attain what the Buddha called “Nirvana” or the perfect peace of mind. This peace of mind is achieved through various meditation techniques. The Buddha never taught about any form of God. Many practice this form of meditation to gain calmness in their lives. Sufism is a branch of Islam that also employs forms of meditation. Sufi scholars define Sufism as “a science whose objective is the reparation of the heart and turning it away from all else but God.” In meditation they aim to reach an awareness of their oneness with the universe, believing that in doing so they can attain fundamental truths that are within us, but often remain hidden. They do not believe that Jesus is God, but view Him as only a prophet. In Hinduism the chief aim is to gain release from the cycle of reincarnation caused by karma – the consequences of past actions, in this or in previous lives! This is achieved though meditation techniques. This release leads to some kind of absolute Truth. Many of these approaches have been adapted by our modern culture to serve as means of relaxation or ways to lessen the stress of our over-active lives. They form the basis of the “New Age” spiritual movement. They are taught without any specific aim of repentance, nor the purpose of doing the will of God, nor of seeking union with Christ.
The use of the Jesus Prayer is done with an attitude of repentance and humility seeking an encounter with the living Christian God, Jesus Christ. We may gain benefits of relaxation or reduced stress, but this is not the aim of our effort. Union with God is. It is NOT a mantra to simply quiet the mind. You will also gain this benefit if you learn to repeat it hundreds of times, but it is important that you truly feel contrition for your sinfulness and seek God’s mercy as you repeat it. All prayer is about a personal relationship with God.
Many Orthodox Christians use a prayer rope to aid them in concentration as they repeat the Jesus Prayer. Prayer Ropes come in a great variety of forms and sizes. Most prayer ropes have a cross woven into them or attached to mark the “end,” and also have some kind of marker after each 10, 25, or 50 knots or beads. There are many forms of prayer ropes, some knotted of wool or silk, or other more elegant or simpler materials. At the time of our regular prayer, when you pray following your rule of prayer, hold the prayer rope with your hand between the thumb and the index finger and move from knot to knot each time you say the prayer. Do this until the number of repetitions in your rule have been completed.
“Just as it is impossible to fight battles without weapons, or to swim a great sea with clothes on, or to live without breathing, so without humility and the constant prayer to Christ it is impossible to master the art of inward spiritual warfare or to set about it and pursue it skillfully.” Saint

It's A Long Way There

By Little River Band
Hey everybody yeah, don't you feel that there's something?
Feel it, feel it?
Hey everybody yeah, don't you feel that there's something?
People on their own are getting nowhere,
I am on the road to see,
If anything is anywhere and waiting, just for me.
Every night I walk around the city.
Seems like I'll never know,
That feeling of being together when I go.
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going,
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going.
Hey everybody, don't you feel that there's something, but you know
in a moment it is gone.
I live for the day when I can hear people saying that they know and
they care for everyone
But I feel like I've been here for the whole of my life, never knowing
home.
It's a long way.
It's a long, long, long way there,
I'm gonna keep on tryin',
I'm gonna keep on tryin', yeah,
I'm gonna keep on tryin',
I'm gonna keep on tryin', ah!
Been away from home for such a long time,
And got to know this town,
But I don't seem to matter much to anyone, who's around
Is there anybody around?
Every night I walk around the city,
Seems like I'll never know,
The feeling of being together when I go.
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going,
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going.
Knowing that life is extremely short and precious, we sometimes get carried away by our desire to do something meaningful with our life. To worry about life being meaningful is a little bit like worrying about insomnia. The more we worry, the more sleep escapes us.

Enter by the narrow gate' great sermon by father bishop barron from 2004 shares that he who asked the questions of salvation is living for the end of the race- the answer-

Heaven on earth is thru entering christlike life today- living the gospel of love- blessings and offerings as we are filled in his likeness

Amen

quote from vaughan-lee

"This union of of soul embraces all of life-
No push away
No pulling towards
(buddidist)

We are always inwardly awaiting listening
Ou hearts attuned to our beloved
We ar like a piece of wax waitin for an imprint

The soul does no more than the wax when a seal is impressed upon. It

Pushing away
Not being loved how can the wax receive anything

The wax prepares fo the impress that is it is soft and in love
Quiet and consenting
The mind does due process and grabs up scripture t--molding it ever so slightly into the shape that it can be fully seen in one's view.

Oh - but silence now- at sunrise- Listen for the whisper - does it hold the  imprint to make it brand you--

And puts it's verses  somewhere where the words won't even be seen,‎
but known on you as you.

Words can not speak of what the heart is for the moment they begin they are already wrong- some never hear-

Time to open my heart,. This deeper heart and be open to who you give me, for who u give me I will keep, or I looseth for in heaven... thy will. Be done

And in the garden when Peter took out his sword and cut the ear off the Roman guard- did not Jesus also forgive the guard and say to peter- do I not drink the cup my father has laid out for me. Put away your sword or thee will give by it-

Amen

Love and oneness and coming together is from the heart-the heart embraces any difficulty to shine loves lightbon the world, to be in communion with god and In the trinityof life,.

In the heart- there is no argument, no youband me, just an unfolding oneness- the ego takes sides on a debate thw heart slides into Christ's mercy and finds grace in love. Music, smell, touch, taste. While it's true
Divine blessing does not rest in any senses,
It is also true that love is heaven on earth
And the narrow gate --- I wait at the doorway---

I can live off in a wilderness with a very few books or materials. The bible of course. Now there is 6 new ones- and maybe two years ago there were 6 new ones but I want to read those again as they are stil pertinent,* I just keep hearing the same thing over and over and I just
Keep needing to

I'm needing to hear it feel it be it and I can never just sit onto of the bubbling springs and keep them under lid.

My favorite remembered work adlibed---‎

"As we silently work upon ourselves, the energy of our devotion becomes a point of light within the world. At the present time a map is being unfolded made of the lights of the lovers of God.

The purpose of this map is to change the inner energy structure of the planet. In previoius ages this energy structure was held by sacred places, stone circles, temples and cathedrals.

In the next stages of our collective evolution u will recognize eachother-  ‎hearts of these lovers of god individuals and you will join to shine even brighter and speak in unison, with love the example of love. And one by one my sheep will recognize the song of joy....

It is a quality of joy that is being infused into the world. It is the heartbeat of the world and need to be heard---

Let me be your most humbled servent- let me be your voice- let me shine love as an example of love of how to love fully and deeply

Amen
