And the darkness fades to morning
Coffee reminds me my heart is beating with the world
Alive is my prescense and I hold back dancing
Joy is the heart filled with ur glory
Glory for this day is to praise god
To direct all my thoughts and energy to
A will I can not know for me
So I do what I need to
What is infront of me as conscience as I can
Without story
For the story is in this humble silence
The dew on the window
The breathe in my lungs
The love in my heart

Amen

Phil. 413

10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

psalm 61

To the chief Musician upon Neg'inah, A Psalm of David.
1 Hear my cry, O God;

attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee,

when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I;
3 for thou hast been a shelter for me,

and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever:

I will trust in the covert of thy wings.
Selah.
5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows:

thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life:

and his years as many generations.
7 He shall abide before God for ever:

O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever,

that I may daily perform my vows.
Who I am doesn't change as I have been writing it's how I deal with the moments at hand, how enough is the suffering...must I be hit with cancer or death to receive and churn out the gift of christ in 'my' storyline, can I be greater than it. Can I be alone truly in the potters vessell and wait to be filled with water, or changed into wine, so that I may be quench to the thirst of those u place infront of me.

Amen
Time stands still the dark of the night isn't yet home and I am floating in timeless being.

Christ's heart in the picture that joins me home from France, brings me to the church in corsica where people of old painted it with barbe wire around...is it our lords thorned crown of salvation, is is the message of the paradox of life...is there no truth that stands alone without the other polar opposite to site it a standing at all,

And isn't the word paradox itself from the ego for all that is has no words.... open heart of christ take me home....

Amen

Thomas Merton quotes

“The beginning of love is the will to let those we love be perfectly themselves, the resolution not to twist them to fit our own image. If in loving them we do not love what they are, but only their potential likeness to ourselves, then we do not love them: we only love the reflection of ourselves we find in them”
― Thomas MertonNo Man Is an Island
“The beginning of love is the will to let those we love be perfectly themselves, the resolution not to twist them to fit our own image.”
― Thomas MertonThe Way of Chuang Tzu
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
― Thomas MertonNo Man Is an Island

“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
― Thomas MertonThoughts in Solitude
“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another.”
― Thomas MertonLove and Living

“You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”
― Thomas Merton
“If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I am living for, in detail, ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for.”
― Thomas Merton
“To be grateful is to recognize the Love of God in everything He has given us - and He has given us everything. Every breath we draw is a gift of His love, every moment of existence is a grace, for it brings with it immense graces from Him.
Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonder and to praise of the goodness of God. For the grateful person knows that God is good, not by hearsay but by experience. And that is what makes all the difference.”
― Thomas Merton
“Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business. What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy.”
― Thomas Merton

And the smoke filled to the temple and they dropped to their knees in worship.

Bonfires infront of churches during mass, are they some sort of island smoking prayers like in scents in a Greek church...

It's the first day of the calender year and I am the same.
Silence is my friend and while I could choose to spend the day by the fire, in holybooks and chants, I choose so to be molded and softened so the wax of my she'll can receive the imprint of something more than I know. To comtemplate any anything is to remain idle, to empty to nothing is to be filled.....and it's not my doing, I walk blindly to the threshing floor and there I stay, humble and soft yearing for the beloved.... -kmg
