Good friday

Today is where the catholic traditions of the eucharist are remember and of the stories of Jesus connecting with his diciples by being their teacher... who is not above washing their feet. That higher in teacher doesn't offer privilege that in the spirit, but in the world. --- for me this is my interpretation--

Let there be but one who is privileged, and offered in prayer to, let him be out god and let us be his people. Today I will wash the feet (not literally) but in washing love and connection and warth, to those who u send my way today, who néed the heart of christ,--- my prayer is to be so blessed to be just theservant for the moment

(and today I washed JH feet in tradition at CR)

Beauty- Doors are opened, but beauty doesn't tuck me in at night-, like sugar cube sitting onto a lillypad floating on the lake, the cube is taken - remains one with the pond and sky is

On this good friday I declare my love for jesus christ

I declare being the human sinner who was part of the world of the deaf and blind that put the human words of u on the cross,

I declare this day to be reborn as the words from flesh become god in spirit within me.

I declare to be reborn in that spirit in the light of each new day, not forsaken, fully alive and a vibrant child of god, whose praise I sing --who my souls streams runs deep in all and wide, it pours out ur glory

The analogy of a dream state is illustrative in that it introduces you to the perspective that sensory appearances derive from the mind.

When you awaken from a dream, you perceive that its images are empty; in fact they become empty by nature, and their innate purity becomes evident once the lack of recognition vanishes.

This understanding undermines any fixation on external sense objects as truly existing.

The analogy of illusion is illustrative in that it introduces you to to the power and influence of sensory appearances and mind.

You come to understand that whatever you perceive is empty in and of itself, a product of the habit patterns of confusion.

You come to understand that sensory appearances are empty as such, free of mind’s dualistic fixation.

The analogy of mist is illustrative in that it introduces you to the perspective that sensory appearances are the display of mind.

You come to the realization that the objects you perceive, being empty, naturally vanish.

The analogy of a rainbow is illustrative in that it introduces you to the perspective that sensory appearances are the adornment of the mind.

Like a rainbow dissolving into space, these appearances are free as natural manifestations of timeless awareness.

The analogy of the crystal is illustrative in that it introduces you to the perspective that sensory appearances are the natural radiance of the mind.

The true nature of mind is naturally radiant, free as nondual timeless awareness.

Prayer
Great Shepherd, because You have placed “eternity” into our hearts we will never be satisfied with what the world has to offer. We can only be satisfied with You. The world looks to fill this spiritual void with false religions, power, money, sex, alcohol, status, and anything else that seems to satisfy our longing for something greater than ourselves. O God, we pray for more of Jesus. He is the only one who can truly fill that void that we all long for.

Nights passing and crickets

I stay aware.

And aware brings stories that pass around themselves, distraction to this higher depth of silence which is full with it all. ... so I write from my heart and say you stories mean nothing to where I breathe into myself, where there are no stories, there is love--and it's soft and it's sensual and it's the air, and stars, wind, night sky- it's enlightened in the sunrise, it's grafted onto christ.

Myself and My Person

There are moments
when I feel more clearly than ever
that I am in the company
of my own person.
This comforts and reassures me,
this heartens me,
just as my tridimensional body
is heartened by my own authentic shadow.

I stop
at a street corner to turn left
and I wonder what would happen
if my own person walked to the right.

Until now that has not happened
but it does not settle the question.

There are moments
when I really feel more clearly than ever
that I am in the company
of my own person.

Whatever our background or belief system, we keep having this central encounter -- that stranger, that shadow or twin, who is ourself.

Busy with our lives, we hunger for some experiences, struggle to avoid others, while some we just hope to survive. Then a moment comes, perhaps wondrous or utterly ordinary, and all our experiences fold in on themselves and there we discover our own selves for the first time experiencing them.

A strange division of self occurred somewhere in our forgotten formation, for we recognize that there are actually two "I"s: The "I" I assume myself to be, and the "I" that is "my own person," who I really am.

It is absurd, really. We always know who we are, right? Who and what we are is the one constant in every instant of our lives. Yet somehow we encounter ourselves and it as if we are meeting a stranger for the first time. How can this self that I am be unknown to me? And how can this new self be so much bigger and less broken than I thought I was? Who is this stranger that I am?

I stop
at a street corner to turn left
and I wonder what would happen
if my own person walked to the right.

Just how different can this self of selves be from my daily self? Can it go one way, while I go another? What does that even mean? Can it be an "it," separate from myself while still being myself? Which me is me, and which it is an it?

When we finally recognize our full selves, we have the opportunity to shift our identity. As this new self, we become immensely real in a way that the old, mundane self never quite was. The pretense of the prior self is revealed. The bigger self brightens and the old self is lost in the light.

So, my advice: If you stop at a street corner and notice your own person walking to the right, turn right and follow.‎ (Ivan) (thank u)

This is the path of love. The path of the heart. Like all paths, it is fraught with pitfalls and traps, and most of our emotions are either in the service of our minds or our frightening things that overwhelm us and make us afraid so we protect ourselves from them.

So we come through life a little bit like hungry ghosts. We are beings that have huge needs for love, but seemingly it’s like we have some kind of amoeba that doesn’t allow us to digest our food. So, though we get love, it goes through us and then we need love all over again. This conception is so deep within all of us that we’ve built an entire reality around it, and we think that’s the way it is; that everybody needs love and that if you don’t get it you are deprived, and that the more of it the better, and you need it every day from everything. In that sense it’s like an achievement; you see people that are achievers. The minute they achieve something it becomes irrelevant, and their awareness turns to the next achievement because they are addicted to the practice, not to the goal.

The predicament with loving is the power of the addiction of the practice of loving somebody; of getting so caught in the relationship that you can’t ever arrive at the essence of dwelling in love.

If you imagine it in this sequence that you are cut off in your heart from love so you feel hungry, what that hunger is is the hunger to come home. It’s the hunger to be at peace; to be feeling at one in the universe; where lover and Beloved merge. It’s the place to feel fulfilled in the moment, to be able to live fully in the moment.

Closed off, you are like a bee looking for a flower. You’re flying around buzzing and looking. There are certain very deep patterns, whether they’re psychologically learned or karmic, that are like a lock waiting for a key to open it, but the key must fit into that lock. It must be a certain pattern or concatenation of factors.

All of your psychological conditioning prepares you to be attracted to certain methods, or certain paths, or to certain people. For many people, the energies they’re working with at the time they are seeking this love so strongly are second chakra energies; energies of desire, ofsexual desire, of desire for union that is relational and the energy gets into that pattern. And you associate making love as a vehicle to coming into love.

So you’re going along as a little lock waiting for a key, and along comes a shadow of love, goes by, and like a little duckling you turn and you start to walk after it. It just happened to be the particular pattern that turned you on, that opened you up. And you say, “I think I’m in love” with him, or with her. See, that’s the key, right there – not “I think I’m in love,” “I think I’m in love with her” or with him. And if you’re lucky, your key unlocks her or his lock, and his key unlocks your lock, or her key unlocks your lock. So you get into “You love me, I love you, here we are,” and it’s incredible because through this dynamic you have opened to a place that’s like a triangle; the two people together are feeding something that they don’t even know. If they’re feeding the unitive space behind the dualism, they’re feeding the quality of love, and when they’re together, they touch it.

When you say “I’m in love with you,” what you’re really saying is that you are the key stimulus that is opening me to the place in myself where I am love, which I can’t get to except through you. Can you hear that one?
