She walks in Beauty.....Lord Byron

18 years ago I used to run around Central Park, the inner loop, from my Central Park South Penthouse apartment, and try to memorize poetry on my cassette player taped to my arm.
I would read into the cassette player on RECORD my favorite poems and press play rewind
play rewind play rewind over and over again.....this was my first

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Reflection

The trees branches not groomed

Begin again

For half way up their bark they sprout

A tree it self if removed can be

Life from life Itself.

MERRITT MALLOY

For at some point you discover love never dies. In the words of Merrit Malloy:

When I die,
give what's left of me to children
and old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
cry for your brother walking the street
beside you.
When you need me,
put your arms around anyone
and give them what you need to give to me.
I want to leave you something,
something better than words or sounds:
Look for me in the people I've known
or loved.
And if you cannot give me away,
at least let me live in your eyes
and not on your mind.
You can love me most
by letting hands touch hands,
by letting bodies touch bodies,
and by letting go of children
that need to be free.
Love doesn't die: People do.
So that when all that's left of me is love,
give me away.
I'll see you at home in the earth.

To worship you Oh my soul

In what you hear Let it be a sweet.

Morning Poem of Love

Its not a breathe

Its a gulp

A bucket of emotion that moves up within me As I watch not, under this oak tree

The sun shines thru

And there is the shadow of me dancing around the tree,

Ullimenescent,

And my mind wants to stand up

And dance that dance as one

But my feet are glued They are glued to not define the moment either

To gulp into the emotion

Its so beautiful its pure love

Maria Rainer Rilke

Have patience with everything that remains unresolved in your heart.

 Try to love

the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign
language.

Do not now look for the answers.

They cannot now be given to you
because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything.

At present, you need to live the question.

Perhaps you will gradually, without even
noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.

Prayer for today

If ye abide in me
And my words abide in you
Ye shall ask what ye will
And it shall be done unto you

Of lord, jesus,
Who opens my heart
I ask that you open my heart
To all around me and let me be an
Instrument of healing
To all i touch
To myself
To our relationships

Oh dear lord, allow the spirit of truth to guide me

For I have not seen
And yet I believe
as you are in your father
And the father is in you
And you are in me

Amen

FALLING UPWARD....Richard Rohr

I believe that the One Great Mystery is revealed at the beginning and forever beckons us forward toward its full realization.  Most of us cannot let go of this implanted promise.   Some would call this homing device their soul, and some would call it the indwelling Holy Spirit, and some might just call it nostalgia or dreamtime.  All I know is that it will not be ignored.  It calls us both backward and forward, to our foundation and our future, at the same time.  It also feels like grace from within us and at the same time beyond us.  The soul lives in such eternally deep time.  Wouldn't it make sense that God would plant in us a desire for what God already wants to give us?"

BUDDIST

Abbot Lot came to Abbot Joseph and said: Father, according as I am able, I keep my little rule, and my littlefast, my prayer, meditation and contemplative silence; and accordingas I am able I strive to cleanse my heart of thoughts: now what moreshould I do? The elder rose up in reply and stretched out his hands to heaven, andhis fingers became like ten lamps of fire. He said: Why not be totally changed into fire?

AWAKENING OSIRIS

But on the first day, when Temu (God Consciousness) held the sun, a spark flew out from him.  The globe he held caught and reflected first light.  The light flew back and he saw the light was himself, he saw that he was god and only after Temu created Ra was he visible even to himself.

Do you know magic?  Can you utter the name of your soul and bring yourself back to light?  Can you speak your destiny, create life for yourself from yourself as Temu created Ra?  From the light of your works do you know who you are?

I am a phoenix, a soul sparking, a tongue of fire burning up flesh.  I consume myself and rise.  I am light of the Light, keeper of the book of my becomings;  what was, what is, what will be.  I am Osiris, a god and the ashes of man.  I am the skin he take on and sheds.  I am the cord that binds him from this world to the next.  I am Osiris forever, forever changing, eternal as day, everlasting as night.

Can it be said more plainly?  Life and death are one.

I am Osiris forever, forever changing, eternal as day, everlasting as night.

THE LORDS PRAYER

Our Father

Who art in heaven

Hallowed be thy name

Thy Kingdom come

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that

trespass against us

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil

For yours is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, for evermore........ Amen

Eastern Spiritual Text

> First the soul has to surmount afflictions embraced willingly. Thereby
learning to spurn sensual pleasure and self glory. And this in turn will permit
readily to bear the afflictions that come unsought.. It for the sake of poverty
of spirit you spurn each pleasure and self glory and also regard yourself as
deserving the more drastic remedy of repentance, you will be ready to bear any
affliction and will accept any temptation as your due, and you will rejoice when
it comes, for you will see it as a cleaning agent for your soul.

Reflection of NYC

The eunoymus live outside my window all year long

And the chair sits infront of them yet
Its a brick wall I stare out at
Fire escapes
Alleyways
And the beautiful noise of the birds you can't see

And I love it..........

Walk outside your gates and the city is alive, like the elevator bank lobby in
las vegas,
Everything there...

Stick on ur glasses and ur hugh heels and your ipod, stroll down madison avenue
amongst the most beautiful things in the world

Kids home, hop on the bikes into central park....climb the rocks over the lake,
dinner at boathouse

Dessert at 16 handles of self pulling yogurt, basketball in the backyard...inbed
by 10

All tucked in the city of love !

reflections from a yogi

Relfection by Yogananda

"God God God"

From the depths of slumber
As I ascend the spiral stairway
Of wakefullness

I whisper
God God God

Thou art the food
And when I break my fast
Of nightly seperation from thee

I taste thee and mentally say
God God God

No matter where I go
The spotlight of my mind
Ever keeps turning on thee

And In the battle den of activity
My silent war cry is ever
God God God

When voicetress storms of trials shreek and worries howl at me

I drown their noises loundly
chanting
God God God

When my mind weaves dreams with threads of memories,
On that magic cloth I do emboss
God God God

In waking, eating, working, dreaming, sleeping, serving. Meditating, chanting,
divinely loving,

My soul constantly humms

Unheard by any,
God God God

Quote "Course in miracles"

"The truth is true and nothing else is true. What's true is god and the perfect oneness with him. Everything else is seperation and illusion....and something that needs to be awakened from so that we can awaken to where we really are and where in fact we never left." -
