life
Pause: I allow stillness to meet reactivity and in this space unbinding of my story begins. The karmic pattern that generated reaction is interrupted, cut off from its source. I step out of habit and meet the moment fresh.Relax: I relax into my body and bring mindfulness to those places where I tend to accumulate tension and simply allow the tension to relax -- I recognize tension and choose ease. I let my heart-mind yield to experience where accepting to my mind is what relaxing is to my body. This becomes intimacy with the experience itself and I become available to myself and to others.Open: I expand my accepting mindfulness to the world and open the door to mutuality. When I open after pausing and relaxing, my awareness may shift between the internal and external, moment by moment, and I become a spatial extension of non-clinging. My constructed self softens at the edges, opening. I can meet the moment awake, loving and spacious.Trust Emergence: I acknowledge that the present moment is changing constantly, that the now is far more complex and fluid than the mundane glance can know. It's about embracing impermanence and finding a place to rest there. It's letting go into the changing process I call "now" replete with its uncontrolled sensations, thoughts, emotions, interactions, words, topics, energies and insights. It's about trusting that when I meet the unknown with mindfulness and acceptance, I will emerge from the experience wiser and more compassionate... trusting that my perceptions are more true and accurate because they don't originate in delusions of stability. In the absence of certainty, spontaneity emerges.Listen Deeply: I open the senses, heart and mind to receive the moment fully so I can notice and be touched by the experience of another. I stop taking my conditioned interpretations to be the other's truth. The act of listening itself is a dynamic and fully engaged mindfulness practice. This quality of listening brings the moment alive with the energy of inquiry. Listening deeply includes a delicate inward listening that enables receptive listening to the other.Speak the Truth: I extend an invitation to bring my highest intentions and most refined perceptions into language. To speak the truth, I must first know the truth -- the truth of my experience. Clarity arises when my mind is energetic, mindful, calm and spacious, and unattached. Only by means of this clarity am I able to discern the truth of the moment.
Written in Georgia
The morning rise
Southern sky, rise high
And beam right through
My closed eye
Feet touching the ground
Listen for the call
The birds, squirrels drop their
Nuts, they are so busy around..
I sit to awaken
To open my eyes
To the life that I live
Not to be controlled by my mind
I welcome the universe
How I see it supporting me
when I sit I know
I can see the workings begin
how it can be...
And somewhere beyond
Knowing
There is a play for control
My ipod suddenly blars out
Singing.. Rockstar by nickelback
Surely not the 'om ' is was set to vibrate
""""
I want a brand new car and an episode on cribs
And a bathtub I can play baseball in..."""""
And I laugh
move to silence
I want to stand
I want to stretch
I want to move to the
Music of the wind
I feel my heart
Its arising,
Its tightening me behind my belly as it calls
Emotion rises, and I'm alive
And prayers release, without thought from my outbreathe
I'm overtaken
By love
God
Living through me
I tip toe out of the knowing
The material of life here
Exactly placed to support
Where I am now
Stillness has a lesson
I wait to feel strong enough
To do this work with matthew
Yet its weakness that I need
Seems harder to pick up
Thank u for this day
Thank you for this life
Thank you that I may be human now and have this emotion
So I can be closer to you
Dear god keep me swimming in this pond, let me invite all who are in my life, who do your work, with me and bless us, to lay hands and heal
In the name of your son., Jesus,
Ask and it shall be given
I listen
I pray
Have mercey on me
Amen

“How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; my enemy will say, ‘I have overcome him,’ and my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the LORD,
for he has been good to me.”
Psalm 13
And the man said "Speak to us of self-knowledge" And he answered; Your hearts know in silence The secrets of the days and the nights, but your ears thirst for the Sound of your hearts knowledge You would know in words that which you have always known in thought You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams and it is well that you should ! The hidden well spring of your soul Must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea and the treasure of your infinate depths would be revealed to your eyes but let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure and seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or sounding line for self is a seed boundless and measureless. Say not I have found the truth but rather I have found a truth Say not I have found the path of the soul say rather, I have met the soul walking upon my path For the soul walks upon all paths, the soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed, The soul unfolds itself like a lotus of countless petals... ....The prophet Kahill Gibran
